Leonardo DiCaprio to play 24 personalities in THE CROWDED ROOM

On Friday, it was announced by The Wrap that Leonardo DiCaprio will be playing the role of Billy Milligan, a man with multiple personality disorder who happened to use it as a defense in a court of law for almost 20 years. Milligan reportedly had 24 personalities and was put on trial in the '70s after being accused of raping three women and committing robbery. He was innocent after his lawyers claimed the alternate personalities committed the crimes without his knowledge. The film is being adapted from a nonfiction book and DiCaprio will produce the film as well.

I'm very excited for this because this sounds like a perfect role for Leonardo DiCaprio... well to be honest, he can do any role. He was in talks to play Steve Jobs in the biopic entitled Steve Jobs, which is directed by Danny Boyle and written by Aaron Sorkin, but he dropped out. He's currently filming The Revenant, the next film from recent Best Director Oscar winner Alejandro González Iñárritu (Birdman). It's scheduled to be released in theaters on December 25th, 2015. That's one of my most anticipated films of this year, because the cast is great and Birdman was my 2nd favorite film of 2014 so I'm really pumped for this film, that could possibly get Leo his Oscar (fingers crossed). But, back to the film about Milligan... I think DiCaprio can pull off this role very well. He can do drama and comedy very well, which The Wolf of Wall Street proved extremely well. I'm curious to see who will sit in the director's chair. Maybe Martin Scorsese can do this... Steven Spielberg... David Fincher... this is going to be interesting.

Oscar winner Eddie Redmayne in THE DANISH GIRL: First Look

Looks like he's going for another Oscar! This past Sunday, Eddie Redmayne won the Academy Award for Best Actor for his role as Stephen Hawking in The Theory of Everything and it looks like he's taking on another historical role, which he transforms himself again. Earlier today, Working Title tweeted a photo of him in The Danish Girl in which he'll be portraying transgender woman Lili Elbe, an artist from the 1930s who had a sexual reassignment surgery.

The film will be directed by Academy Award winning director Tom Hooper (The King's Speech), who directed Redmayne in 2012's film adaptation of the musical Les Misérables. It's based on the novel of the same name by David Ebershoff.

I gotta say... he really does look like a woman. He looks like the offspring of Jessica Chastain and Christina Hendricks, if they had a kid. But, let's be serious, he really looks like a woman. I think Redmayne and Hooper reuniting after Les Miz is something positive because Les Miz was a really good movie. I wasn't blown away by Redmayne's performances until I saw The Theory of Everything, but Jupiter Ascending was really bad. I think after winning the Oscar, he's going to move away from those crappy movies like Jupiter. But, I'm really impressed with this picture and after reading how he's been doing a lot of research for this role, it seems like he's really dedicated to making this performance great. I'm interested in seeing this once a trailer comes out.

R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy (1931-2015)

The geeks around the world are sad today because we lost a legend. That legend is Leonard Nimoy, who you may know for portraying the iconic character of Spock in the Star Trek franchise. His wife, Susan Nimoy, announced on Friday morning that the legendary actor passed away at his home in Los Angeles of end-stage chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. He was 83.

I, myself, am not the biggest Star Trek fan, but I appreciate it for what it is. I've seen a few episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series and Star Trek: The Next Generation and I've seen most of the movies, with my favorite being Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, which Nimoy actually directed himself. But, I've always been a fan of Nimoy since I saw the 2009 Star Trek film, when he reprised the iconic role.

He's appeared in so many movies, TV shows and video games, and he's been great in everything because he's Leonard freaking Nimoy. I've even seen a few episodes of the original Mission: Impossible series, which he was a cast member during the fourth and fifth season. I really liked him as the voice of Sentinel Prime in Transformers: Dark of the Moon, even though the film itself isn't that great. I loved him voicing a Spock action figure on a episode of The Big Bang Theory. The last work of his I'll talk about is him voicing villain Master Xehanort in the Kingdom Hearts games, Birth by Sleep and Dream Drop Distance, which was the PERFECT role for him. If you played those games or watched clips from those games, you'll understand why I said he was perfect in those games. He was scheduled to respire the role for the upcoming Kingdom Hearts III, which is the final installment of the Xehanort saga in the Kingdom Hearts series. I'm curious to see who'll voice the role now.

Anyways, Leonard Nimoy will always be remembered! My heart goes out to his family and loved ones at this sad time. He did live long and prospered!

Welcome to my blog!

Hello everyone, my name is Bryan Sudfield. I am a teenager from New Jersey who is very passionate about movies. Ever since I was a little kid, I has been fascinated by movies and when I turned 13, I realized that my passion was movies... mainly making them. In April 2013, I began doing movie reviews on YouTube with my first review being the 3D re-release of Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park, and it wasn't a great review. Within the last 2 years, I have improved with my reviews and I'm proud of where I've gone.

For the last few weeks, I've been thinking about possibly doing written reviews on Blogger for when I see movies late or when I don't feel like doing a video review. I also am interested in discussing news that comes out in the world of movies. In June 2016, I will be graduating high school and begin adulthood by going to college and pursuing my dreams... if I want to keep doing movie reviews, I should consider writing them.

So I want to welcome you guys to my blog entitled... "Movie Discussion with Bryan Sudfield"!
